The commissions and offices of the AANES are the individual institutions assigned with serving the various functions of government based on their task. The institutions are divided into ten commissions and eight offices.

Local Administration, Interior, Social Affairs and Labor, Women, Education, Economy & Agriculture, Finance, Culture & Art, Health & Environment, and Youth & Sport.
The Office of Foreign Relations is the institution responsible for executing external policies and protecting the interest of the AANES and its citizens living abroad through its representation offices in ten countries in accordance with .the legislations of the the AANES

AANES, France, Germany, Benelux Countries (Belgium, Luxembor, and the Netherlands), Scandanavia Countries (Sweden, Finland, Norway), Switzerland, Russia, Lebanon, UAE, Iraqi Kurdistan
The Office of Religion and Beliefs ensures religious institutions and belief systems are given the right to function and promote their activities without discrimination or interference. The office believes in tolerance and seeks to build a society that supports religious freedom and fraternity among humans. They reject all kinds of violence against women in the name of religion. Forming womens committees inside religious institutions to provide their perspective. Hatred speech is also rejected by the office. The office acts in a neutral capacity, supporting all religions and beliefs and does not accept any person or religion imposing their will on society. Developing religious education systems which promote tolerance and inclusivity, uniting the effort to counter the radical interpretation of religion and promote moderation.
The Media Office is the official media institution of the AANES. It aims to promote freedom of speech, expression, and media. It ensures the presentation of facts in a transparent and credible way. Additionally, the office develops the performance of the media personnel so that the AANES staff can maintain up to date media and journalistic practices through providing additional qualification courses.
The Office of Humanitarian Affairs is responsible for the accreditation and activities of NGO/iNGOs and civil society institutions operating in the AANES. The office also directs NGO/iNGOs on the support needed in areas most adversely impacted by the war. It acts as the official interlocutor of civil institutions operating inside of the AANES.
The Office of Planning, Development, and Statistics prepares regional developmental plans utilizing surveys and analyzing the results. Based on those results the commission also provides recommendations for remedial procedures for both the public and private sectors to support economic and social development. The office also coordinates with the commissions and offices of each region regarding the regional planning development and creating a data base of information. Ensuring economic growth and the sustainment of natural resources across the AANES.
The Commission of Local Administrations and Environment develops the concept of the democratic free municipality to be able to run itself. Encouraging local administrations to implement environmentally sustainable and ecologically responsible projects and policies. Emphasizing the responsibility of local administrations to their constituents when making decisions regarding the services provided to the population. The commission also seeks to unify the laws of all the municipalities, while taking into consideration the unique cultural characteristics of each.
The Commission of the Interior develops the policies of the commission and its affiliated apparatus in the security field to guarantee that the security policy is in adherence with the general policy of the AANES and all laws of human rights and international conventions. The commission administers security plans to counter criminal efforts and ensure safety and stability within the communities. The Commission of the Interior governs the general command of the internal security forces comprised of the Asayish & Suturo.
The Commission of Social Affairs and Labor monitors and identifies the labor requirements of the offices and commissions of the AANES and conduct community outreach initiatives to connect those seeking employment with the commissions and offices in need. Including, providing employment opportunities for the most adversely affected members of the community such as those with special needs and families of soldiers wounded or killed in action. Additionally, the commission institutes welfare and gender diversity projects across the seven regions of the AANES.
The Commission of Finance administers and organizes the funds that belong to the AANES and supervise the income and expenses including the allocation of the annual AANES budget. It establishes policies which promote greater income through the efficient management of funds. The commission must also develop and administer the banking and insurance activities. Additionally, the commission is responsible for creating and implementing a fair and reasonable tax system. As well as providing recommendations and training to the commissions, offices, and other institutions of the AANES in issues relating to finances.
The Commission of Education organizes, directs, and administers education at the elementary, preparatory, and university levels. Instilling values and principles of democracy and cultural diversity through the teaching process and developing individuals capable of free and critical thinking.
The structure of The Women’s Commission:
Its structure consists of a presidential body that includes the head of the authority and three female deputies, a bureau and archive, administrative affairs, development and planning, a legal office, a financial office, and all the employees of the authority are women.
Women’s Offices & Committees in the Commission:
Women’s authority in Al-Jazeera, Women’s authority in Euphrates, Afrin, Women’s Committee in Raqqa, Women’s Committee in Tabqa, Women’s Committee in Deir ez-Zor. in the departments and hold periodic meetings to supervise these works.
Expenditures of the Commission:
The investment expenditures are distributed to women’s authorities and committees in northern and eastern Syria, estimated at 200 thousand US dollars annually, and its main objective is to strengthen the economic aspect of women.
The Commission of Economy and Agriculture establishes policies and general strategies to manage economic resources (agricultural irrigation, industry, electricity, and communication) creating the best investment atmosphere in accordance with the laws and legislations of the AANES. The commission also adopts economic policies and programs to promote improved economic and investment opportunities in accordance with the available resources. Facilitating domestic and international business agreements. Further more, the commission prepares studies and projects to evaluate the economic conditions inside the AANES. Attempting to achieve optimal growth rates in the GDP and per capita rates.
The Commission of Health aims to secure free individual health services. Developing a health care system that ensures the availability of medical services and medications. The commission also provides additional resources to medical staff for advanced training opportunities as well as establishing medical centers throughout the AANES. The commission monitors the COVID-19 pandemic developments and all communicable diseases and coordinates vaccination programs. Managing medical and emergency services across the seven regions. Additionally, the commission promotes communication and signs agreements with international medical organizations in service of the medical system under the AANES.
