The Executive Council prepares the annual budget for the AANES and drafts the financial policies in accordance with the income and expenditures reported by the seven regional administrations. Including the oversight of all eight offices and ten commissions of the AANES, the Executive Council also prepares the annual budget for the administration and drafts the financial policies in accordance with the income and expenditures reported by the seven regional administrations.
The Executive Council prepares plans and strategies for economic developments inside North and East Syria.
It includes all offices, and commissions of the AANES. All members of the Executive Council are elected by the General Council through a two thirds majority. Each member of the Executive Council serve for two terms, each of which last two years.
The Co-chairs are directly responsible for the Executive Council, and select 5 deputies for it, as well as select the co-chairs of the Executive Council offices and commissions and submit them to the General Council for approval by an absolute majority.
